Folding Distances
Where improvisation meets intention.
Where loops become landscapes.
An experimental music project seeking skilled collaborators to explore the spaces between genres, the moments between notes, and the distances we fold to create something genuinely new.
Music Without Boundaries
Folding Distances is an experimental music project built on a simple premise: the most compelling music happens when skilled musicians stop playing it safe.
We're not interested in recreating what's already been done. We're interested in real-time composition, in the conversation that happens when musicians truly listen to each other, in the unexpected moments that emerge from structured improvisation and thoughtful looping.
This project seeks 1-2 experienced collaborators who share this vision. Musicians who have put in the work to master their instruments, but haven't lost the curiosity that made them pick it up in the first place.
Listen First
Every session starts with ears open. We respond to what's actually happening, not what we planned to play.
Embrace Complexity
We draw from everything: ambient, jazz, electronic, world music, noise, classical. Boundaries are suggestions.
Serve the Sound
No egos, no competition. The only goal is making something we couldn't have made alone.
